Stone Junction?

Yes, the intro to "Stone Junction" is certainly relevant w/r/t AtD. The
Pynchon essay I thought most about when reading AtD, however, was the
introduction to "1984", especially Pynchon's remarks about anger being a
valuable asset for an author. After the relatively mellow Vineland and M&D,
it seems to me as if Pynchon has discovered his precious anger once again.
It might have something to do with the Bush administration, it might not -
whatever the causes, AtD certainly seems to be Pynchon's angriest novel
since GR.
