Watched a little of the movie also, including the airplane scene. Did  
notice that unlike in the Pynchon version none of the men in the flic  
showed any particular signs of arousal or desire to ravish the little  
much less act on the desire.

I grew up with Shirley (as she appeared in the movies) so don't know  
if I had incipient pedaphiliac tendencies. Being a normal 9 year old  
I would I thing have preferred someone a little older 11 or 12 even.
