It appears to be a very good introduction to the subject of quantum
field theory, for a person who already has a working familiarity with
quantum mechanics. Perhaps somebody who doesn't have the equivalent
of a physics bachelor's degree or thereabouts could still extract
nuggets of wisdom from it, but it is definitely a "professional" book,
not a "popular" one.

John Baez, the physicist cousin of the folk singer, describes the Zee
book as "Packed with wisdom told in a charmingly informal manner".
I'd agree.
