What are you reading / best stoner flicks?

I skipped the chapters about the Holmes guy, got thru it a lot quicker. Still a very good book even without the murders.

This is a pretty decent book, don't you think? I guess you do, to be rereading it. I gather he was friends with J. Joyce in Trieste.
Right now I have got Burton Wheeler's autobiography and his daughter's book about him, prompted by the Hollander articles (plan to be following some other historical threads too; a couple books about labor troubles that have been recommended) 
and also reading some Tony Hillerman detective stories, which are very nicely made. In fact I think I'm hooked: like those of Martha Grimes (which I can't say enough good things about), and Kinky Friedman, I am pretty sure that I will wind up reading pretty much everything I can find in Tony Hillerman's oeuvre. Then I also bought Carpenter's Gothic but can't seem to get into it. I've started every Gaddis book, and I guess I'm just not ready....
Also bought some books in German including a side by side German and English edition of Leonard Cohen poems and lyrics called "Flowers for Hitler" -- I've never been flat-out crazy about him, but I have to admit these are good. And it's fun to guess at the translation, then look on the other page to see how close (or far) I came from the translator's verbiage
about 20 other books that I've bought are also lying around, but the only other 2 I am determined to read soon are Warlock and the Education of Henry Adams. Oh, and also the rest of Cloud Atlas, I cherry-picked my favorite (and easiest) sub-plots and need to read the more challenging parts! 
 (also got a copy of the Bongwater VHS for 25 cents at the local Hollywood video, they are liquidating their VHS tapes; I sort of like Bongwater, and am trying to think if there is a better stoner movie ????? Cheech and Chong, obviously, Home Grown, Half Baked, Dazed and Confused, and a sleeper favorite for me is "Spirit of '76" - this would be sort of on-topic in understanding Zoyd Wheeler in Vineland - any other good stoner movies I'm forgetting? (short term memory loss))
