My motivation? A deep love for all of Pynchon's work. Of course, Gravity's
Rainbow soars high above the other novels, but even so, all of Pynchon's
novels can bear repeated rereadings. When I go for more than a year without
rereading one of his novels, I get an almost physical urge to do so - I'm
afraid I'm as hooked on Pynchon as Hector Zuñiga is on the Tube, but so far
noone has offered me any treatment.
