What are you reading

About half-way through Ellison's 'Invisible Man', which is truly great,
and about 1/3 of Infinite Jest, which is alternately worthwhile and
turgid. That Estachon game chapter for instance goes on and on and on. I
imagine DFW as very pleased with it, I found it boring.

Broke off to re-read Vineland yet again, I'd say it is Pynchon's most
accessible, at least for certain age groups/demographics.

I found M&D a breeze to read, and thought it would be the most
accessible intro to P for my Dad, but he only read about a quarter of it
before casting it aside.

Can't recommend as such, becasue I still haven't read it, but I bought a
copy of 'The Bridge on the Drina' by Ivo Andric in Sarajevo a couple of
years ago and keep meaning to start it....

Not a Nobel, but I strongly recommend 'Garden, Ashes' by Danilo Kis, I
mentioned that before.

Painful to think how many lucky sods are currently reading 'Against the
Day' by Thomas Pynchon.

Cheers
JC
