Don't forget Lydia Millet. Her 'Everyone's Pretty' is funny, weird and
odd. Look for the Rubber Ducky on the cover.

I haven't read her newer 'Oh Pure and Radiant Light', which features
Oppenheimer's ghost and might have a few things in common with
Pynchon.
