ATD & the good life

Sitting here enjoying a beautiful Indian Summer day,
looking out my (home) office window across the Bay at
San Francisco, listening to Marvin Gaye sing What's
Goin On, very glad CAMP didn't get it all this year,
and contemplating a new novel by Thomas Pynchon that
starts off with a "hydrogen airship" .... right this
minute, Life is good.  Thanks and a salute to Mr.
Pynchon for his part in that. 

What other author can engender such passion?
