Caricatures shouldn't be flattering. And it's really innocuous in comparison 
to some caricatures of, say, Tony Blair, with some of those it's possible to 
scare children... and adults as well. Now I forget who draw that cartoon of 
Joyce, but the fact is it was even depicted on some editions of Finnegans 
Wake. The only difference being that this one is a cartoon of the young 
Pynchon, no cartoonist has seen the older one so far...
