With the heavy use of poured concrete, would you call this Brutalist
architecture (probably the silliest artistic nomenclature I can think of,
btw)? It's more curvaceous than other examples, eg <
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Bostoncityhall.jpg>, but surely there's a
piece (or pieces) of shared visual DNA between the two.
That Wikipedia article I'm linking to also alludes to the rise of Structural
Expressionism in the wake of Brutalism, which seems like a much more fitting
"-istic" box for this church to reside within. Can any architecture nuts on
the list add to my understanding of either of these schools? In any case,
I think La Eglise Saint-Pierre is striking, if a little too random for my
tastes -- the ramp skylights? And for my church money, you can't beat this
