Chicago Columbian Exposition of 1893 - as good a
reason as any to check out that documentary - Expo:
Magic of the White City (2005) - that Ruud recommended
a while back, I got it from Netflix; Pynchon readers
will enjoy hearing their synapses crackle as the Fair
rings a lot of familiar-sounding bells.
