I hear you - it gets worse, if that's possible, when
you have children of your own and see it happening to
them. Gradual and subtle along our Front in the War
than Never Ends, happily, compared to someplace like
the Genocide-of-the-Month, but disheartening none the
less.

I wonder if that first-page allusion to a crystal
palace might also work for the glittering and glassy
White City they built for the 1893 Columbian
Expositiion in Chicago then tore down at the end of
the show. I haven't gone back to GR since I watched
that documentary recently, must do that asap....
