An addition to the P Wikipedia article that was swiftly reverted:
Well, this is the story all about how
I turned the American novel upside down
And I'd like to take a minute from this universal schism
to tell you how I invented literary post-modernism
In Glen Clove, Long Island, born and raised
At Cornell University is where I spent my college days,
Learnin' physics and sailin', mostly goofin' off
Occasionally taking classes taught by Nabokov
When the spectre of the government, which was up to bad shit,
Started making trouble in my social clique,
They crashed my best friend's bike and I went AWOL
And said "It's time to explore the nature of humanity's desire for
control!"
I wrote Gravity's Rainbow, and when it was released,
Christopher Lehmann-Haupt of the New York Times claimed that the
traditional structure of the metanarrative was deceased!
If anything, secrecy was the souce of my élan,
but I thought, "Nah, f-forget it! Fickt nicht mit Rocketman!"
(For those who don't know the tune it is Will Smith's The Fresh Prince
of Bel Air)
Anyone here responsible for this tomfoolery? :)
