It couldn't do any harm, could it? A well-reasoned, polite, articulate letter might at least enliven someone's day. That the ground rules for government include this form of access (though I think under Reagan the old Equal Time doctrine was dropped - it'd be interesting to see Fox News if that rule was still in force) shows grounds for hope.
