On the Spermatikos Logos website there is an account by Bruce
Owens of his acquaintance with Pynchon while living in Manhattan
Beach CA , writing GR. He quotes something TP said to this effect:
"You know, Bruce, those high school biology texts with centerfold
transparencies, first the skeleton, and then the muscles...well this
is the technique I use for writing."
I 've been considering that in a very literal relation to my own
work with glass as an art form. Any thoughts on the credibility of
the Owens story?

Also... I floated this thought earlier without response so I though
I'd try2 again. Anyone ever suggest that along with all the other
implications of the phrase, that "gravity's rainbow" could describe
Oil with its rainbow sheen and coal-tars turned to color dyes. Oil
is the product of Gravity and Life. The fast forward rocket fuel and
Pandora's box of the 19th and 20th Century.
