"Gong"  Funny.

<< Reading Pelevin's *Babylon* and, man, that book's got a lot of tripping going on.  First with fly agaric, and then with a 5 dose hit of mystery acid.  Both result in cosmic encounters with beings from other dimensions.  Lots of connect-the-dots mystical references in those trips (often disputing the other spirit-being's interpretations - shades of COL49), and lots o cynicism.  Not sure where it's all gong... >>

Good book, very enjoyable, though 'Clay Machine Gun' is arguably better, and more Pynchonish. God knows why they had to change the title from the original 'Generation P', presumably for marketing reasons, ironically enough. Absolutely loved that advert he conjures up for Sprite.

Cheers (& apologies for mistakenly letting this go out in html format)
