What Kind of.....
....Rock'n'roll lives forever? All kinds! At least, according to Neil
Young, it will never die; if that is the same. The problem is, like all
things, it undergoes "transformation". It gets buried under progressively
deepening layers of cultural debris and is compressed and transformed into.....(drum
roll, please) Muzak!
What plastic is to organic chemistry, muzak is to organized radiant
energy residing within the audible spectrum. Plastic, Oh! No! (should be)
banned! We are now entering an era when children humming Led Zeppelin riffs will
"know" that it is the tune from the Cadillac commercial. The "education" is
never-ending, but what is being "learned" is also constantly being transformed.
Or, quoting LZ, "the song remains the same."
                                                            truly (humming
Bird),
                                                            ruud
