I realize this is probably a fishing expedition, but my thoughts turned to the introduction to 1984, where Pynchon points out that George Orwell's father was a quality control officer in the opium trade. I'm imagining there would be some sort of offical government seal of approval for the product . . .

Can't rule out all those Trystero stamps either.
