Dunno about Barb. I don't think anyone ever deserves such a monstrous
thing. But treating sept 11 as 'an attack', as an act of war, only made
things worse, just look. It was a criminal act, responding the way Bush
did was predictable but tragically wrong. Also, the concept of
'blowback' exists as I'm sure you know. The deaths that day were
terrible tragedies, but they also led to Bush's fake Presidency being
lent a 'war-time' strength and seeming legitimacy, and hundreds of
thousands more deaths, and all the shit at home in the US, the sharp
swing to the Right, the erosion of Civil Rights, and on and on. Also of
course it would seem that Bush & Co. at the very least displayed
incompetence in not preventing the attacks and then lied and lied and
lied ever after.

'War' eh? Well, where's Bin Laden? Why aren't they parading his head
round Washiington on a stick? What about Pakistan, etc etc. the whole
thing's a crock and you know it. I notice you're hedging your bets on
the 'war' in Iraq. Were you in favour of invading Iraq?

Well, I recall you being very gung-ho about following 'your President'
into 'war', and you seemed to be denying that you ever supported his
actions, that's all.
