Jazz on Bones: X-Ray Sound Recordings

What an image---bones on wax. I can't help but visualize the growing army of table-tapping, tea-leaf reading, Blatvatskian Pataphysicians, on the rise as Edison's sonic toy mutated into "The Music Industry". The notion of inscribing "spirit" onto the "medium" of wax (shellac, vinyl, polycarbonate, pure data) is so spiritualist and the image of the bones under the wax makes it even more apparitional.
