Sorry, but that's all I got....on your mention I watched WZ last night, but
nothing jumped out at me as particularly White Visitation-ish, or Pynchonian
for that matter. Zombies and Thanatoids, of course, but....admittedly,
though, I fell asleep before the cliff scene, and the Osbie Feel quote
certainly suggests a close study of the film by Pynchon. BTW, all time WHAT
list?

"Of course, of course," sez Osbie, with a fluid passage of fingers and wrist
based on the way Bela Lugosi handed a certain glass of doped wine to some
fool of a juvenile lead in White Zombie, the first movie Osbie ever saw and
in a sense the last, ranking on his All-Time List along with Son of
Frankenstein, Freaks, Down to Rio and perhaps Dumbo,...."

Henry:
Did I miss this by inattention during the GRGR's and also not constantly
consulting my (now boxed somewhere) Companion to GR during any of my reads
of GR? I have just had a precursory look at "White Zombie," having recorded
it from TCM; the jumpings off the cliff and the title of the movie put me in
mind of GR's "The White Visitation." Common knowledge? Just me?
