NP Stephenson's Quicksilver

I just finished reading Quicksilver a couple of days ago. Tasty; it went
down easy even if it didn't stick to the ribs. Stephenson's "Cryptomicon"
should be read before or after reading Quicksilver, if only in order to
appreciate its, dare I say, Pynchonian generations of characters.
