The primary purpose of "Slow Learner" is the introduction and gittin' all those previously bootlegged early stories (they mostly suck, by the way) officially published so that TRP could at least make money off of them. But the intro is really worth it, letting us know what TRP's views are on a variety of subjects and indicating what he doesn't like about his writing.
