reading ken kalfus' new novel about 9/11--there are some rather awkward
jottings on entropy. overall, not a very good novel--he's writing for future
generations but that's always a bad idea as it kills the
characters--newspaper mouthpieces cliched up the wazoo
on a happier note, martin amis has another great read about islamism and
sayyid qutb in the Guardian over the weekend.
