Contemporary Fiction

I wouldn't call it 'Danielewski et al'. There is Danielewski and his novel
'House of Leaves' which I really liked. In my opinion, he dared to be
experimental at the time when it was already considered to be bad taste. He
succeeded in creating a book that worked on different levels. It is a novel
of excess, no doubt about that, but Rabelais' ouevre is one hell of excess
as well. With its drawbacks (I don't like the word 'house' in blue ink)
'House of Leaves' is one of the most important works of the 1990s.
