Now can we please stop obsessing about these puppet babboons like Bush, Chavez, Bolton, Blair, et al, and simply proceed with the "business of buying and selling" that we all know this military posturing is really all about. Too bad about the casualties, but they do not mean that we are not posturing, as is Chavez.
If China wishes to get in on the war-profiteering business that has served our country so magnificently, many locales have already been spoken for; such as by the "coalition" in the middle east. Africa is attractive, but South America looks like ripe territory, since we are already in Columbia and Panama, and China is going to require an "enemy" to pull this off. It would probably be easier for China to go to "the aid" of South America than Africa anyway. And did China learn this strategy from our president's father? Manuel Noriega maybe?
How convenient to make your acquaintance at this time, Sr. Chavez. Please continue, as you were saying....
                                                                    truly,
                                                                    ruud

I wonder if Chavez is smart enough to be talking about
the "devil" at the UN and folding his hands as if in
prayer (pix at antiwar.com right now) is conscious
parody of Bush's holy warrior on a mission to
eliminate Evil routine. If not, too bad, because he's
the anti-Bush in this aspect, indeed. If as our
pugnacious UN ambassador says Chavez is a cartoon not
worthy of comment, what does that make Bush when he
stands up and points fingers at this or that "evil" in
the world? I guess he forgets the various Executive
Orders and such that Bush signs or otherwise approves
(or pointedly ignores) that allow torture, murder,
targeting of so-called "military" targets occuped by
civilians, & etc.

Chavez is courageous, to insult the President of the
USA this way, he's shortened his life expectancy
considerably. And how appalling it is to live in a
country where I can say that.

American exceptionalism? Say what?
