I remember sitting in a History lecture, hearing about the French philosopher Bodin, and beginning to identify him with Pig (as I myself identified already with Pig)- ok the witch hunting stuff was unattractive, but his theory that revolution only impedes social progress seemed to me right on (like a tar baby, you touch that government stuff, making people's choices for them by force & you're just bound to get all caught up in it)
