Amalgamation Polka (was NP: Richard Powers)

I dunno, I think 'The Amagamation Polka" was episodic, but held
together pretty well until the very end, where the manic change in
tone doesn't really work. Kind of like 'Huckleberry Finn' in that
regard.

How many great books are compromised by their weak endings...
