It's a dirty job, Dave, but somebody's got to do it.
You know the archives are an important resource,
you've spent plenty of time contributing to it, I
figure if jbor can pop up and try to rewrite history,
regarding his ethical lapse, his attempts to deceive
his colleagues & etc., I can spend a few minutes
keeping the record straight regarding what has been
said and done here regarding the Playboy Japan
interview. It's like negative political ads, they say
you have to keep countering them or people start to
believe they're true - and I'd hate for jbor's
misbegotten project to create the impression that the
people, - myself included of course, plus a senior
Pynchon scholar and the leading Pynchon journal,- who
tried to make it possible for everybody to evaluate
the Pynchon interview in Playboy Japan were instead
engaged in some sort of, well I don't know exactly
what jbor's latest wacko accusation might be. He
started out claiming that the interview didn't exist
and has had to backtrack from each false claim he's
made about it since. That hasn't stopped him from
continuing to lie and obfuscate, of course. It's easy
enough to do, cut and paste a few paragraphs, voila.

At some point, you have to assume he'll drop this
cover-up nonsense, since all of his evidence is public
discussion in a public archive.
