Thank you, John.  

Of course you are correct. Mason was on his way to Scotland when he
stopped to see Dixon.  He was describing to Dixon his trip back from
IRELAND.

After the last MD3PAD is posted I am going to read it all over and look
for any other errors. I welcome all contributions to making it as
accurate as possible.
