My wife's cousin, a professor of theoretical physics
at Beijing University, has written an book about the
classic Chinese novel, Dream of the Red Chamber, where
he uses his work in physics as an interpretive tool -
it's way beyond my Chinese to understand what he's
doing, but that's OK, his Chinese colleagues don't
understand it either. Beautiful book - pages full of
Chinese _hanzi_ (the so-called "square characters",
i.e. ideograms) elegant equations.
