Let's just say that anyone who is willing to destroy the World just to 
make a buck. . . .

I think that Pynchon is (first and foremost) a Satirist, it's natural for
Satirists to be iconoclasts and that form of iconoclasm came from
the original (first century Greek) Cynics who were natural-born Anarchists.

So more Groucho than Karl, more Krusty the Klown than Krobotkin.

But still Anarchist.
