ATDTDA (7): 186 - 208 -- starts tomorrow

Tomorrow we begin the next round of deep analysis: pp 186-208, and 
I'll do my best as host to nudge us all along & make sure we don't 
miss much of anything on these pages.

My plan is to post a short synopsis of the action every other day of 
each sub-sub-section, alongside a list of terms that might could use 
elucidation. And although I'm no bomb-thrower, I'll try to come up 
with a few provocative questions, fodder for discussion, on an 
equally regular basis.

I also see my task as scribe -- so at the end of (7), I'll transfer 
whatever wisdom emerges from the crowd to the wiki -- with credit 
where credit's due.

My background: I'm currently finishing up the first year of a second 
career as a high-school mathematics teacher, having spent my first 
30+ in manufacturing at an aluminum foundry.

My first postings (and most all of my postings) will be mid-to-late 
evening, beginning tomorrow.
