one of the notable sayings in baseball is you can never assume a double
play--the throw could be bad or the runner beats the throw to the base, e.g.

so, not sure how one could assume something like a double play if the tv is
cut off in the middle of one.  of course, it could be a replay of the play.
this is the section where  the vond/takeshi mix up occurs I think--another
sort of double play for sure.
the central league is in Japan it should be noted.
