Not too many mysterious words here...mainly locations in Colorado
that it might be nice to see on a map. i don't know if any of them
are of peculiar significance in the labor movement, or in the history
of manifest destiny -- it would be interesting to note any that are.

Little Hellkite - a mine near Telluride, Colorado (now the home of a
trendy film festival, now in its 34th year)

Veikko - fairly common (?) Finnish name

Smuggler - a mine in Pitkin County, Colorado, closed in 1928; named
for Smuggle Mountain; and near Aspen (?)

Silverton - according to their Chamber of Commerce, "a gritty little
mining town with Victorian pretensions," in San Juan County,
Colorado, see:

190: Floradora Girls - Florodora was one of the first successful
Broadway musicals of the 20th century. A good part of the success of
the musical was attributed to its lovely sextet of chorines, called
"the English Girls" in the score, but soon popularly dubbed the
Florodora girls. These six roles were filled by identically sized
women, all 5 ft. 4 in. (about 1.63 m) and 130 lb (59 kg), and were
the object of popular adoration: young male admirers persuaded many
to leave the show to marry them, and more than 70 women played these
roles in the first run of the play in New York. See:

The word Floradora has been reused many ways since then. "Floradora",
also called "Keyword," was a doubly-enciphered diplomatic code used
by the Germans during the Second World War. The Allies used IBM
tabulating equipment to break the code over period of more than a
year in 1941 and 1942. (also from Wikipedia)

Leadville - another Colorado mining town: The famous Younger Gang
lived here; Doc Holliday had his final shoot-out here; Bat Masterson
and the Earps were here. And of course perhaps the most famous
rags-to-riches- and-back-to-rags story began here with Horace and
Baby Doe Tabor. From their Chamber of Commerce:

191: Mayva - is this an allusion to someone in particular...or a
construction that I can't see?
