just my 2 cents on this:

one of the main concerns re: gun control in my mind is not so much the ease
at purchasing (on the VT guns one was bought online apparently) which is bad
enough, but the fact that many mentally unstable people can get them (two
pistols killed 32 people that fast)

but i do have a problem with types of weapons--no one needs a machine gun or
automatic rifle--these s/b be banned.-make part of the deal that the new law
would not lead to further attempts at outlawing personal handguns or rifles.

i'm realistic--some subcultures within the U.S. were brought up with guns
and most people who have them respect their (gun) power and dangerous use.
if there was a national gun law passed, the same in each state, I think we
would have a small-scale rebellion on our hands in many places.
