I have a friend who has The Tick Vs. Season One box set. I watched a few 
episodes (and remember watching a bit of it as a child) but I just can't get 
into it. But in general I tend to be cold towards children's shows that are 
also pitched at adult sensibilities -- I'd rather they just write the damned 
things for adults in the first place.

Pixar and the first Shrek film notwithstanding.
