I agree it's well worth seeing if only to see the incredible long
action takes. In this age of special effects to see such camera work
is a real treat. Usually the currently popular but rather silly
"extreme close up with a jiggly camera" style gives me such mal de
mar I leave the theatre and demand a refund of my ticket, but the
camera work here is acceptably steady - one might even say
exceptionally steady.
The story is okay and the usual logical flaws are not as obvious or
eye-rolling. (Why do women always go into the dark room with the
eerie music? And why can't they just turn and run away immediately
instead of backing up and tripping over the unseen object that's
always just a step or two behind them?)
I'll add it to my Netflix queue to watch again when it's out on DVD.
