I have Let It Come Down, and like maybe threefour songs on it, tops, but
it's a little overblown for me, you know? Like the horns and strings and
choir? I wanted straight space, and got soul. Wha happened? Its so
fucking British. And the vocals are so high in the mix, and comprehensible,
yuck
Would I possibly like Ladies and Gentlemen... more? Is it more jammy and
less one-man-alone-in-the-studio-composition-y? I like Ash Ra Tempel a ton,
and when I think of the kind of spacerock I like, I think of them (or even
the first LP of that minimalist Oneida dual-record, Each One Teach One), or
"Interstellar Overdrive," and while I know Spiritualized will never sound
like any of that *exactly*, just in general, is Ladies... a better record?
