ATDTDA (7): 203-208 plotline

You can't have a proper Western without a schoolteacher, and this
longest sub-section in (7) starts with a cute meet between Frank and
the schoolteacher next door, Linnet Dawes. He helps her shell some
peas, and when they part, the prospect of peeling onions together is
next. Linnet hints to Frank that she, and others, are wary of his
brother.

The next afternoon Stray herself shows up at his door. She's gorgeous
and he will never forget her appearance, but the conversation remains
indirect. She talks about Cooper's unreliability as a match for Sage
-- but she's really talking about Reefer, who she eventually
complains about. Frank begins a response, which is his role on this
journey. But she laughs and her remains entranced by her presence.

And the phone rings. This is a startling moment in many a movie, but
especially here, where they are so uncommon. It's Jimmy Drop calling
form Cortez to report that Deuce and Sloat have abducted Webb and are
headed with him to the waste of Jeshimon (which he didn't even want
to name.)

It seems clear that Reef's next task is to head there, and Frank's is
toward Ma and Lake; and after that, most likely, vengeance &
retribution.
