One of the great moments in modern film (as is William Holden's with his
wife re his affair with Dunaway)

I was watching 'American Dreamz' recently (US president judges TV singing
competitors, one of whom is a suicide bomber)... Found myself dissatisified,
waiting for it to have the nerve to hang as far out over the edge as Network
-- or for that matter A Face in the Crowd 

I acknowledge this is the epitome of grumpy geezerism ('we had REAL satire
back in the day'). But wtach them, compare, and see if you (=any age) don't
agree
