Remember the mound in M & D?

Stone, the earth, a basic good in OBA...?...until (We) hurt it....?

The earth is where 'the day' happens.....

...and in Gravity's Rainbow, "sentient rocksters"
and the knowing reference to the possible Masonic
association of Stanley and "Living-stone"

like Wordsworth, maybe OBA hears sermons in stone
and perceives good in every thing

also, from a philosophical viewpoint, isn't part of the
program from Deleuze & Protevi, et al, the idea that
the qualities of difference (that lead to the things
we perceive as human emotion, etc) are in fact
inbuilt in matter, including minerals, rather than being a special dispensation
for "human beans" only?
