I whole heartedly agree---Herzog is a fascinating speaker, and the
little Dieter story is incredible--I spent four hours with Dieter after
a screening of Little Dieter Learns to Fly several years ago--it is a
Herzog-ized accounting of an amazing story (fictionalized doesn't seem
right--always keep in mind, when dealing with H. "There are deeper
strata

of truth in cinema, and there
is such a thing as poetic, ecstatic truth
<http://personals.actforlove.org/p/circle/search.cgi?m=2028152_55566&dcb=personals.actforlove.org&kwd=ecstatic+truth>.
It is mysterious and elusive

and can be reached only through fabrication and imagination and
stylization."
