On the phrase 'Ass-Backwards'

I've always thought that Pynchon sounds great read aloud. I often read
passages aloud to people in order to show them what it is really like.
Sometimes I even read aloud to myself because I think it sounds like great
poetry. On the other hand, I am enamored of the sound of my own frickin'
voice but whaddaya gonna do.
