After the third or forth read, you notice how many of the 
addresses in the book you've walked by. After the 
seventh or eighth trip up and down California's scenic 
coastline, you get seriously interested in the Metaphysical 
Implications of the Jacobean era and mail fraud. After the 
49th, you find yourself homeless, sleeping on a foam cushion 
in the basement of the home of one of the co-founders of 
NROOGD and spending your days handing out food to the 
indigent. At times, you are absolutely terrified of sunlight.
