It seems that Chicago boomed after the 1871 fire, but was criticized
for it's lack of overall planning. Olmstead and Burnham pushed for a
"City Beautiful" plan after their collaboration in laying out the
Columbia Exposition plan. The Burnham plan was the result. Here's a
