Amis talking to his readers

Although I've read just about all of Amis, _Money_ is the only one that's held me enraptured--word-drunk virtuosity of a very high caliber and energy. It's a book about America, about a slimeball filmmaker, and about the ravages of overweening ambition. What's not to love? And who can resist the subtitle? "A Suicide Note." Let me know how it goes (if it goes); I haven't read it since I was 19 (1996). It may just be a piece of shit.

'Time's Arrow' is quite good. Relatively short and thought-provoking. The
premise isn't new (Vonnegut limned it nicely in 'Slaughterhouse 5'), but the
overall execution is quite impressive. I also heard that 'London Fields', a
bigger book, was worth a try, but I haven't read it yet.
