I'm pretty sure Rubber Soul came out in December 1965 so the single of Mr
Tambourine Man would've been out a good 7-8 months before that and the album
maybe 6 months? Around June 1965 for the LP, a month or two before that for
the single? If I remember my pop history correctly Jim McGuinn (as he was
known at the time, of course) was the only member of the Byrds to play on
that record (though I assume most of the others sang).
