AtDDtA Technical Difficulties

Thus end my notes for Ch. 1 of Against the Day.  I've
made some headway on Chs. 2 and 3, and have already
asked Tim S. if he could pick up the part of Ch. 4 (to
p. 31) that I was initially scheduled to cover.  Were
my remaining notes complete, or even in working order,
I'd carpet bomb the List with them now.  But this
seems at least a reasonable moment for a break in teh
action, so ...

So I've hinted to Tim already that this may prove to
be a difficult time for me.  I perhaps could have,
even should have, foreseen this much earlier, I
suppose I did, but I'm not entirely sure that either
optimism, hope, or, at any rate, desperation and
denial aren't my worst enemies ...

No, I'm my own worst enemy, as an ex-friend (?) once
rightly point out, so ...

Tim, I'll give you fair warning on that David Lynch
movie.  I really want to go, am still planning on it,
but, more so than ever, I've no idea what's going to
happen before then, though I'm rarther more sure that,
whatever it is, it won't go well for me ...

I'll be back as soon as I can, but ...
