Princess Casamassima is not exactly about " . . . the inexorably
rising tide of World Anarchism . . ."
The book's conflicts arise from class, identity and acts of "terror"
as statements to replace useless rhetoric. Princess Casamassima's
characters have uncertain identities and exhibit more downward class
mobility than upward. Perhaps a single act of "terror" will change a
spectator into an actor.
